On August 14, 2014, the "Eleventh International Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition and International Calligraphers Federation (Preparatory) Representative Conference" was held in Thailand. The Chinese Calligraphers' Book Association organized a delegation headed by the Chinese Book Association's Party Secretary, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Chen Hongwu, and the Chinese Book Association's Party Group Member and Deputy Secretary-General Pan Wenhai as deputy head. The Secretariat of the Federation of Chinese Calligraphers, Wang Bing, is the Secretary-General's delegation of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and went to Thailand to attend the opening ceremony and the International Calligraphers' Federation (preparatory) representative meeting.
On the morning of August 14th, the "11th International Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition" jointly sponsored by the International Calligraphers Federation (Preparation) and Thai Thai Calligraphers Association was grandly opened at the Chinese Cultural Center in Bangkok, Thailand. More than 300 group member delegations and personal representatives of the Federation (prepared), as well as more than 300 celebrities, calligraphers and calligraphy enthusiasts from the Thai cultural community attended the opening ceremony. Chen Jiang, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Former Thai Minister of Culture Song Thaya Khunben, Chairman of the Working Committee of the 11th International Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition Huang Hancheng, Secretary of the Party Group of the Chinese Calligraphers Book Association Deputy Secretary-General Chen Hongwu and others delivered warm speeches at the opening ceremony. Chen Hongwu said, "The International Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition has become an important platform for international calligraphic exchanges. It provides a good opportunity for calligraphers from all countries and regions to exchange experiences, learn skills, and promote friendship. It promotes the art of calligraphy and promotes international calligraphy. Artistic communication and cooperation played an important role. The more than 400 calligraphy works on display reflected the theme of "Reward for Elegant and Popular" in this exhibition. This exhibition exhibited more than 400 calligraphy works of members of the Association from more than 20 countries and regions. Not only the real scriptures, complete style, colorful styles, but also Japanese, Korean and other languages. The exquisite "Eleventh International Calligraphy Exchange and Development Works" debuted at the opening ceremony.
The International Congress of Calligraphers (Bangkok) Member Congress was held on the same day. After deliberations and voting, the conference resulted in the following resolutions: 1. The work report of Mr. Chen Hongwu was adopted. 2. Mr. Chen Hongwu is the new secretary-general of the International Calligraphers' Federation (preparatory) for a term of four years. 3. Authorize the Chinese Calligraphers Association to co-sponsor the 2016 "Twelfth International Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition".
